CONCEPT: The ARTFINDER is a system of viewfinders, strategically placed along the front of the Milavic Hakimi Gallery. The IN BETWEEN is a curated experience of the art within. Each finder allows for a singular experience of the contents, and makes the art within the gallery walls accessible from the street framing a series of art moments. The viewfinders are arranged on a lightweight aluminum frame. Each viewfinder frames a particular work, and different configurations allow for a variety of viewing experiences. The art objects can be experienced individually or collectively, depending on the viewfinders’ sizes and arrangements.

CONSTRUCTION: The finders are standard size HVAC connectors, coupled and assembled to produce specific relationships between the art object and the passer by. Each finder is screwed to the aluminum frame which is pressure mounted to the ground.
